Our Distance Difference

This is our 91st Psalm Christian School Distance Learning story and family feedback.

Teachers have done a great job in adjusting to the circumstances and being available to the students.

Whatever your reason for choosing 91st Psalm, we consider it an honor and privilege to serve your family and partner with you in training up Godly Servant Leaders who will impact the world for Christ. We know that through Christ, all things are possible for our students – including adapting to a different mode of education.

March 2020: our nation entered an unprecedented time. As schools began closing buildings due to COVID-19, educators created a plan. At 91st Psalm, we met the first Monday after Spring Break to discuss the possibility of distance learning. We met the challenge with prayer and purpose.

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. – Proverbs 16:3

Our staff started making plans to continue to provide the same Jesus-focused, high-quality academic instruction, and personal approach that we have given our students all year.

In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. – Proverbs 16:9

We rolled out our Week 1 plan on March 18. Our staff has continued to meet virtually every morning to pray and discuss the needs of our students, families and staff. Through additional virtual meetings, countless emails, texts and phone calls, we continue to modify our distance learning plan to do what’s best for our students and families.

for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose. – Philippians 2:13

We are so thankful to be invited into your homes through recorded videos, live class meetings, google classroom assignments, and of course, the daily good morning videos from Mr. A! While following the social distancing guidelines, we have enjoyed seeing your faces every Friday at our drive-thru packet pickup!

We encourage you to continue to put your faith, your trust, your family, and your circumstances in the hands of God. He is more than able to meet all of your needs!

For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

The positive, personal attention from teachers, including comments on returned assignments is very encouraging.

Video communications sent by the teacher are great, they give my child a sense that he is still attending his regular school scenario.
